Monetizing with In-Scene Media, alongside AdSense

Updated over 6 months ago

In-Scene Media (ISM) does not negatively affect creators' existing AdSense revenue. Since ISM is integrated directly into the video itself, rather than being served programmatically like AdSense ads, it does not interfere with AdSense’s ability to display or monetize ads on your content.

Some creators worry about potential revenue loss—whether from a decrease in AdSense earnings or a drop in overall views—when adding new monetization opportunities. However, there is no risk of losing either with Rembrand’s ad format.

  • AdSense Revenue: AdSense and Rembrand are two independent monetization methods. Rembrand allows creators to incorporate In-Scene Media directly into the video file, which is not detected by social platforms. This operates similarly to physical product placements or in-video ad reads, but in a non-intrusive format that viewers appreciate.

  • Video Views: Creators using Rembrand have not seen a decrease in video views compared to those without Rembrand placements. In fact, videos with placements have shown increased engagement, with more comments and interactions from viewers who notice the content.

  • Viewer Retention: Rembrand placements have not negatively affected viewer retention. In fact, they tend to see better retention compared to more traditional ad formats, such as AdSense midrolls or sponsorship ad reads.

By incorporating Rembrand’s In-Scene Media, creators can enhance their earnings with an additional revenue stream, without affecting existing AdSense income. Leveraging both Rembrand ISM and AdSense together allows creators to maximize their monetization potential, without sacrificing one for the other.
