Video Download with Rembrand's Final Cut Pro App

Creators and their video editors can use Rembrand's app extension to easily import videos back into Final Cut Pro

Updated over 8 months ago

Once you've uploaded your video and placement has been added, you can easily export your video back into Final Cut Pro to review before publishing to your social channel(s).

Steps to import a video file back into Final Cut Pro:

  1. Within the SLA period (typically 24 hours), Rembrand will alert you via email when your project is ready to be re-downloaded to your computer with product placement completed.

    1. Click through the email to go straight to the Video Details view.

    2. OR - Navigate to app.rembrand.com and find your video project in My Library. Project status will be "Awaiting" once Rembrand has completed. Click Details.

  2. See which brands bid for placement in your video; in this example, the KIND brand is the only one who bid. Note the preview window does not fully render your video customizations (don't worry - it will shortly in Final Cut Pro). You can request modification if necessary, but note that will restart the waiting period for placement to be generated. In most cases, click Accept.

  3. You've accepted the placement! Remember to return to this Details screen later - this is where you will copy the Description for your video, and add the public Hyperlink once published to ensure payment on views. For now, click Download.

  4. After your project downloads via your browser, open the folder where it was downloaded. There will be a ZIP file and a folder; open the folder. (If there is no folder, unzip the file.) Double click the .fcpbundle file to open your downloaded project in Final Cut Pro.

  5. Your video file now has Rembrand placement! Clips in the timeline will be replaced with new clips that have product placement inserted, and you may see a rgba file with the placement itself. Please do not adjust the timeline after placement is completed; any of your effects, overlays, transitions, etc. should have remained intact. Just Export into your preferred format and Upload to your social channel(s)!

When you're ready to publish your video, don't forget to return to app.rembrand.com:

  1. Copy the brand's disclosure statement for the caption of your video

  2. Paste the hyperlink to your published video and mark it as published

  3. Let the views flow in, and in time, get paid by Rembrand!
