We're excited to have you on board. Here are a few useful tips and resources to help you get the most out of using Spaceback creative units in your programmatic buy.

Getting Started, Create your first creative

Once you sign in to the Spaceback platform, you’ll find yourself on the “Creatives” page. This is where the magic happens! You’ll spend most of your time here building beautiful new Spaceback units for your brand. Here is a video tutorial on a sample creative build process.

1. Identify the social media post you’d like to use

Identify the social media post URL you’d like to use and copy its URL.

Pro Tip: Spaceback works with organic or sponsored "dark" posts (as long as the post is publicly accessible) from Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, and Linkedin.

2. Import the social media post

Select the post’s social network from the “New Creative” drop down menu to begin the creative build. Paste the copied URL into the Spaceback “Post URL” field and import it. Spaceback will import the media, metadata, and profile data accompanied with this post.

3. Set the primary destination URL in the “Click-Through URL” field

Spaceback will import and automatically fill in this field based on the social network settings but can be easily adjusted at any time.

Pro Tip: You can also override this field by instead entering a third-party click tracking link in the “Impression & Click Tracking” section.

4. Customize creative and review media crop

Set optional creative customization modifiers: Call-to-Action, Hashtag, Influencer, and Caption.

Set the ad size dimensions and review the creative crop after any creative customization. Some settings can adjust the aspect ratio available for the media asset.

Pro Tip: Creative customization varies by the social network, so be sure to explore each network to better understand what modifiers can be customized.

5. Impression & Click Tracking

Spaceback is purpose-built to fit nicely into your current media buying workflow. This includes support for impression and click tracking.

Impression tracking pixels and click tracking links can be pasted directly into the creative settings to be wrapped within the Spaceback ad tag.

Pro Tip: Select the checkbox beneath the Click Tracking link to have the tracker determine the final destination URL. Otherwise, Spaceback will set the destination URL to the input in Step 3.

6. Create & Review Creative

Spaceback creative is ready to go-live within seconds. It can be edited or updated at any time for maximum flexibility.

Pro Tip: Spaceback provides a preview link that can be shared with clients for review as well as a debug view for ad operations to test and troubleshoot

7. Get Ad Tag

Your creative ad tag is ready to download from the Spaceback platform to implement into your DSP of choice. Once implemented, creatives can be edited within Spaceback without the need to re-traffick your tag, for last-minute changes.

Simply click on the creative and “Show Ad Tag”, then select your DSP from drop-down menu to insert the buying platform’s click macro into the Spaceback ad tag and then “Download Tag”.

8. Upload to DSP as 3rd Party Ad Tag
