How to Adjust Creative Cropping & Layout

Media is cropped automatically to each format's media window — but when you want control over the crop or layout, here's where it lives.

Per-size crop in Ad Builder

On the Formats step, open Customize and switch to Pro. Under Essentials → Crop & layout you control:

  • Layout — framed post, edge-to-edge, story, or banner-only

  • Media aspect — the crop applied to your source media for this size

Pro mode edits the selected size tile only; Basic mode applies your change to every size at once.

Per-ad editor on Finalize

On the Finalize step, click Edit variant on any tile for a focused editor with the same controls scoped to that one variant. Save and close keeps your edits; Reset clears layout nudges only.

Video ads: Advanced layout

For CTV and online video ads, Edit variant opens the Advanced layout editor. If the ad has an end card, tabs at the top switch between the Ad Template and the Endcard Template. Three modes sit underneath:

  • Customize — the same settings as the Customize panel (copy, logo, background, social skin, CTA/QR and more), with a search box to find any setting fast.

  • Layout — every element on the ad (video plate, platform watermark, engagement row, brand logo, QR code, and more). Show or hide each one, lock it in place, open it to fine-tune position and size, or Add element.

  • Timeline — the hand-off from the ad to the end card: End card lead, End card fade-in, and Backdrop fade-out. The ad timeline under the preview updates as you drag.

Changes apply to that one ad; Save and close returns you to Finalize. Like the result? Save as template keeps the layout so your team can reuse it on new ads — see Saved Templates.

Three tips for sharp media

  1. Upload the highest-resolution source you have. Assets are targeted at 2× the media window so they stay sharp on high-density screens — the builder flags anything below that as low resolution.

  2. Upload full, uncropped source rather than pre-cropped files. Extra pixels scale down cleanly; missing pixels can't be recovered.

  3. Check the media windows. Exact per-size dimensions — including how each caption line trims media height — live in Creative Specs.
